One is the safety protection device of the gear box, second is the hydraulic coupler overload protection, third is the control panel with over currency protection. Nowadays as we change the drilling centrifuge structure there are 2 protections. One is hydraulic coupler overload protection to protect the bowl and the other is control panel protection to protect the screw conveyor.
Decanter centrifuge is used in many industrial applications such as: Oil /solids separation,Industrial and biological wastewater treatment, food processing,Fish processing, Chemical slurry.The decanting centrifuge slurry is fed through a stationary pipe, which is inside a hollow shaft connected to a screw conveyor or scroll.The slurry enters a feed compartment located inside of the conveyor and is forced through discharge nozzles to the bowl section.Once inside the bowl, centrifugal force causes the material to separate.The screw conveyor moves the solids to the tapered end where they are discharged.Clear fluid flows out the other end.Some decanter centrifuges are powered by a motor and gearbox combination. The gearbox provided the correct speed and torque to drive the solid control centrifuge.

Common Faults and Solutions for KOSUN Decanter Centrifuge

Reasons and solutions:
1)lack of lubricating oil.—–oiling the bearings.
2)wear of bearings.——change the damaged bearings.
Problem 3: the bowl doesn’t work when the main motor is activated.
Reasons and solutions:
Main motor overload for excessive solids particles set in.—–clean the bowl and adjust the grout intake.
Problem 4: abnormal noise heard from bowl.
Reasons and solutions:
1)unsuitable usage of lubricating oil, such as improper oil type or volume.—-check and adopt suitable oil.
2)bearings damaged.—–change for new ones.
Problem 5: clean mud flow out of discharge outlet.
Reasons and solutions:
Excessive slurry supply.—–adjust slurry inlet valve.
