Structure and Principle of the Drilling Mud Agitator

In general, a mechanical mud agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers ( turbines ) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.

KOSUN MA Series Mud Agitator is part of drilling fluids solids control equipment, which is mainly used to agitate and mix the drilling mud to prevent solid particles from settling in circulating tank. MA Series Mud Agitator adopts the turbo and worm gear-down, with the advantage of large torque transmission, smooth operation performance reliable, etc. It has two kinds of installation methods: horizontal and vertical.

The main parts of KOSUN Mud Agitator including explosion– proof motor, reducer, shaft, impeller, shaft adapters are used in connections of reducer to motor, and reducer to impeller wheel.

All motors used in KOSUN Mud Agitator are ISO brand and explosion motor in China, any other requirements required by clients, we can choose different brand for customs. the size range from 5 to 30 kw.

3.The impeller and shaft of KOSUN Mud Agitator

The mild steel shaft is coupled to the gear reduction assembly with a rigid coupling. All shafts are keyed at the bottom for adjusting the height of the impeller. Shaft length is depend on the depth and should be informed before ordering.
