KOSUN Vertical Centrifuge are Utilized in Drilling Waste Management

Due to increasingly stringent environmental requirements around the world, the cost impact of drilling waste management for oil based drilling operations is steadily increasing. This puts a large focus on the ability to efficiently clean,transport, and dispose of cuttings, while maximizing fluids recovery. Historically, a successful dill waste management operation would require a large on site footprint, further increasing operator pad construction costs. As the importance of driling waste management system increases throughout the industry it is necessary to have a solution that can continue to deliver field-proven results while reducing operator liability and cost.

Vertical Centrifuge is the ideal product for oil based drilling waste management. A stainless steel screen bowl traps “wet” solids and accelerates them up to 820 RPM with G force up to 360. Liquid is forced through the screen bowl openings, while “dry” solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the cone, which rotates slightly less slowly than the bowl.
