Solutions to Prevent Mud Lost of Oilfeild Drilling Mud Shale Shaker

Drilling mud is a kind of colloidal suspension composed of clay, water, oil and chemical mixture which is mainly applied in oil or gas drilling plant. Many solids particles with its diameter blew 2 microns in the drilling mud.

Causes of drilling mud lost in drilling mud shale shaker porcessing 

In most case, there are the following three causes resulting in mud lost

1. Material problems

 

High viscosity of the drilling mud, high proportion of solid phase particles or dispersive drilling cuttings

2. Screen machine problems.

Low vibration of shale shaker, high number of screen mesh and small screening area 

3. Assembly problems. In appropriate installation of the feed inlet of shale shaker.

1.Check whether the shaker screen mesh is fit for the shale shaker or not.

2.Check if drilling mud property matches the drilling condition.

3.Check if the rotation direction of the motor is correct. 

4.Check whether the amplitude of the shale shaker is low or not.

5.Check whether the flowing direction of the drilling mud is correct or not.
